Gabon is an oil exporting coutry and one of the most flourishing countries in the subsaharian region. However, the disequelibrium in distribution of the national income results in fact that a great part of the gabonese society still lives in poverty. The public hospitals do not have enough means to purchase a much needed modern medical instruments and drugs. The new administration of Ali Bongo Ondimba is trying to solve the situation and reduce the deficit in the health sector.
