Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Kohout, approved on 19 September 2013 urgent humanitarian aid worth 2 million Czech Crowns for the Central African Republic.
The assistance will be implemented by the local Caritas organization in the area of Bozoum. Around 3 000 IDP children will get education together with basic health and nutrition care. Around 200 000 people have been displaced by an internal conflict in the course of this year. The population is still facing abuses perpetrated by the Seleka armed groups.
The school for IDP children in Bozoum started on 14 October 2013.
