Czech Republic and Taiwan support IT skills in Nigeria
Czech National Safer Internet Centre in cooperation with Institut for Information Industry (III) from Taiwan launched development project to enhance IT skills in Nigeria. Thanks to financial contribution from Czech Development Agency and taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs a computer classroom with 21 computers, powered by solar panels, was built in a secondary school GSS in Garki, Abuja.
About 60 students and three teachers take part in three weeks training in this new classroom. They learn how to use an operating system, produce documents (CV and motivation letters), Internet and social networks.
Czech Ambassador with his wife handed the certificates to all graduates of the course. A representative of a commercial mission of Taiwan Mr. Chris M. Lee participated at the official closing ceremony. Every graduate received a postcard from South Bohemia - donation of Mapové centrum České Budějovice.
