In order to facilitate the visa application procedure, the Embassy will introduce a VISAPOINT appointment booking system. The system will be in place from the 1st January 2012. The bookings can be made from 20th December 2011. Since the 1st of January 2012 VISAPOINT reservation system will be the only way to get a visa appointment for short-stay visa (Schengen visa).

The primary objective of the VISAPOINT system is to ensure equal and equitable access to every applicant, to establish equal conditions for submission of visa applications, to increase the effectiveness of the visa process and last but not least to ensure comfort for the applicants.

The alien should register for submission of the visa application on the website www.visapoint.eu. In order to register, he/she needs to possess an e-mail address. The registration can be done by the applicant himself/herself, but also by the inviting party or by any other person. Registration is free of charge. Submitting a registration does not mean that the visa has been issued.  

Without proper registration, the alien will not be allowed to submit the visa application at the diplomatic mission, no interview will be held and the processing of the application will not begin.

Every applicant for a long-stay stay over 90 days must to book an appointment at the Embassy via e-mail.

In order to register in the VISAPOINT system it is necessary to possess an e-mail address where the confirmation of the registration is sent. If the registration is not confirmed in 60 minutes time then is available for the next applicant.

DEAR APPLICANTS,

PLEASE, FOLLOW PRECISELY THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE VISAPOINT BOOKING SYSTEM. ONLY THE APPLICANTS WHO HAVE A DULY BOOKED AND CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION.

SOMETIMES, IT MAY HAPPEN THAT THERE ARE NO FREE SLOTS FOR THE APPOINTMENT AT THE MOMENT. THIS IS CAUSED BY EXCESSIVE NUMBER OF APPLICANTS. HOWEVER, THERE IS A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF NEW SLOTS THAT APPEARS EVERY WEEK AND THE EMBASSY DOES NOT HAVE CAPACITY TO OFFER ANY SPECIAL APPOINTMENTS ON THE TOP OF THOSE THAT ARE OFFERED BY THE VISAPOINT SYSTEM.
