Information for Visa Applicants

The citizens of/residents in Ethiopia, Madagascar, Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan and Uganda have to submit their visa applications in person at the Czech Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.Visa section is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 12 a.m.

Visa applications need to be submitted in person.

Applications for short-stay visa have to be submitted at least two weeks before the intended departure, applications for long-stay visa at least three months before the intended departure.

A visa fee is payable in Ethiopian Birrs (ETB) only! In case the visa is refused the fee is NOT REFUNDED.

Kenyan citizens/residents can submit a short-stay visa application to the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Nairobi which is representing the Czech Republic in Kenya.

Rwandan citizens/residents can submit a short-stay visa application to the Embassy of Belgium in Kigali which is representing the Czech Republic in Rwanda.

Burundian citizens/residents can submit a short-stay visa application to the Embassy of Belgium in Bujumbura which is representing the Czech Republic in Burundi.

Djiboutian citizens/residents can submit a short-stay visa application to the Embassy of France in Djibouti which is representing the Czech Republic in Djibouti.

Comorian citizens/residents can submit a short-stay visa application to the Embassy of France in Moroni which is representing the Czech Republic in the Comoros.

Tanzanian citizens/residents can submit a short-stay visa application to the Embassy of France in Dar es Salaam which is representing the Czech Republic in Tanzania.

Nevertheless, the option of submitting the visa applications at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa is open also for the citizens/residents of Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Djibouti, the Comoros and Tanzania.
