Foreign Minister Zaorálek visited Jordan on 13th November 2014

During his visit Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek has met his counterpart Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh. Both Ministers highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and the Czech Republic in particular and between Jordan and the European Union in general. They discussed ways to develop even closer ties between the two countries as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.

Foreign Minister Zaorálek also visited the refugee camp for Syrians in Al-Za’atari where he launched a Czech local aid project in cooperation with LWF. He held discussion with the representatives of WFP, UNICEF and UNHCR who informed him about the main challenges they are facing.

Foreign Minister Zaorálek met also with Czech cardio surgeons providing care for Jordanian and Syrian children in Al-Khalidi Hospital in Amman within the framework of the Czech government sponsored medical mission MEDEVAC.
