Official delegation headed by H. E. Martin Pecina, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic, visited the Republic of Turkey from November 4 till November 6, 2013

The Republic of Turkey has been considered by the Czech Republic one of the very important partners in the field of combating international organized crime. During the meetings of H.E. Martin Pecina, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic with H.E. Muammer Güler, Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Turkey, and also with Director General of the Turkish National Police H. E. Mehmet Kılıçlar, contractual, asylum and migration and security issues were discussed. Czech and Turkish partners established long-term cooperation at expert level in combating human trafficking, illicit trafficking in drugs and forged goods. Czech delegation informed about its engagement in the comprehensive program for the refugees in the Middle East and handed over symbolically financial donation for the local Turkish authorities stricken with high influx of refugees.

The Republic of Turkey plays significant role in the Czech foreign trade and H. E. Martin Pecina was also accompanied by managers of the top Czech producers and exporters. This business part of the official delegation took part in the Czech-Turkish Business Forum, which was opened in Istanbul on November 4, 2013.
