Amendment to the Schengen Border Code - Travel Documents

According to the new version of the Schengen Border Code, the travel document of a foreigner crossing Schengen border cannot be older than 10 years and has to be valid for at least three months after the planned departure from the territory of the member state.
Above mentioned conditions therefore apply not only to the travel documents presented when lodging a visa application but also to the travel documents presented when entering the Schengen area (including the foreigners who do not need a Schengen visa).
