Ambassador Matula addressed participants of the Caspian European Integration Business Club session

On 23 January 2013 Ambassador Radek Matula took part in the Caspian European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) session "Caspian-European dialogue" in Baku with participation of heads of diplomatic missions of the EU and Caspian-Black Sea region countries in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Addressing the session Radek Matula informed about the state and perspectives of development of the economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan and about the trade exchange between two countries in 2012 which is expected in an amount of 1.4 billion EUR. Ambassador mentioned expanding people-to-people contacts and good reputation of Czech products in Azerbaijan. He underlined that the Czechcompanies are interested in cooperation with their Azerbaijani partners in many areas and appealed to CEIBC members for active cooperation with the Czech Embassy in Baku.
Radek Matula informed that the Czech Chamber of Trade and Industry for CIS Countries is preparing the opening its representation office in Baku in the first half of 2013.
