New system for long-term visa applications

The applicants for a long-term visa have to apply for appointment beforehand at the web address: www.visapoint.eu. It is necessary to follow the instruction and to confirm the appointment date and time. The applicant who does not appear at the chosen time or his/her data differ from those sent during the booking process will not be allowed to apply for a visa.

12th Plenary Session of the ICC in Siem Reap (28 - 29 November 2005)

The 12th Plenary Session of the International Co-ordination Committee for Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Site of Angkor took place in Siem Reap on 28.-29.11.2005. A Czech project for safeguarding Angkor financed from the Official Development Aid Programme of the Czech Republic was introduced during the Plenary Session.

Visit of the Czech Deputy Minister of Defense in Thailand (27 October -2 November 2005)

Czech Deputy Minister of Defense H.E. Mr. Pavel Mašek together with Brig. Gen. Ladislav Minařík and Director of the Asset Management Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic Mr. Václav Regner visited Thailand from 27 October to 2 November 2005. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the posibilities of sale of the L-159 subsonic aircrafts from the assets of the Czech Ministry of Defense to the Royal Thai Air Force. On 28 October 2005 the Czech delegation met Thai Minister of Defense.

The handing-over ceremony of the last overhauled aircraft L-39 of the Royal Thai Air Force

The handing-over ceremony of the last overhauled aircraft L-39 of the Royal Thai Air Force was being held on 28 October 2005 on the occasion of the Czech National Day. The 34 L-39 airplanes were delivered to the R.T.A.F. in 1995 and from they were 2002 were undergoing a general overhaul that was carried out by the producer of the aircraft the Czech company AERO Vodochody. The general overhauls prolonged the service life of the airplanes by another 7 years.

New Showroom of Czech Glass Now Open

Bangkok, 26th October 2005 – By opening a new showroom in Rangsit, north of Bangkok, Bantai Crystal Ceramic establishes new benchmarks in presenting a wide range of products. The representatives of the Czech Embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Jiri Sitler, Ambassador, was the honored guest at the opening ceremony as well as a delegation of Czech politicians of the senate and the parliament.

The Committee on Public Administration, Regional Development and Environment of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic visited the Kingdom of Thailand

The Committee on Public Administration, Regional Development and Environment of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, led by the Chairman of the Committee Mr. Jiří Brydl, paid a study visit to the Kingdom of Thailand from October 24 to October 30, 2005. The purpose of this visit was to study the latest developments of the Kingdom of Thailand and to exchange information and practical skills in the areas which are the main scope of the work of the committee.

Czech Ambassador Awarded by the Queen of Thailand

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, graciously representing Her Majesty the Queen, President of the Thai Red Cross Society,decorated upon HE Mr.Jiri Sitler, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, the Red Cross Medal of Appreciation, 2nd Class, in recognition of his meritorious services rendered to the Thai Red Cross, at the Dusittalai Hall, Chitralada Palace, on Sunday 16th October 2005.
