Delegation of the Czech Republic at the China - Central and East European countries leaders’ meeting in Bucharest

Between November 25 and 26, 2013 in Romanian Capital Bucharest took place the 2nd meeting between the leaders from 16 countries of Central and East European countries and China. The delegation of the Czech Republic was led by its prime minister Mr. J. Rusnok. The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to P.R.China Mr. L. Sečka was also member of the delegation.
The Czech Republic considers this Initiative (named also as Warsaw Initiative according to the place of the first meeting) mainly as a platform for the development of the bilateral contacts.
The Czech prime minister Mr. J. Rusnok in his speech pointed out that the Czech Republic sees the Initiative as a complementary acitivity to the EU-China Strategic Cooperation. He also confirmed the Czech interest to organize the next round of the meeting in Prague next year. He also expressed the willingness of the Czech Republic to organize another Year of the Chine Investment Forum (CIF) that will be open for all the members of the Warsaw Initiative. He also talked about the Idea to establish the “Association for the Regional Cooperation” in Prague. Mr. J. Rusnok used the liberty of the conference for the bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Mr. Li Keqiang.
Their discussion was focused on the development of the bilateral economic, business as well as technology and investment cooperation. The also discussed the upcoming 65th anniversary of the mutual diplomatic relations that will be celebrated next Year and they discussed the potential of those relations. Both prime ministers agreed on the willingness to enhance the bilateral tights and even more benefit from their outcomes for the prosperity of the inhabitants of both countries.
