This popular young Czech musician has been known in China due the successful movie Once, for which she won an Oscar award. But at her live performance Markéta played the Chinese audiences mainly songs from her first solo album Anar. And it was a pleasant surprise to hear the young Chinese people singing Markéta’s songs along with her. It was definitely unique musical experience; the concert hall was full with the people enjoying the touching tunes in relaxed atmosphere. The Czech Embassy in Beijing and the Chinese Embassy in Praguehad also contributed to the success of this concert for which the organizers together with the musicians expressed thanks even during the actual performance on stage. After the concert Markéta Irglová with her band accepted an invitation to visit the Czech Embassy. As part of their Asian tour the music band played also in the South Korea and Singapore. In China they played also in the city of Guangzhou and Shanghai.
