Performance of the Talich Symphony Orchestra

In May 2013 Talich Philharmonia Prague experienced its first visit to Beijing, where it played several concerts.
The first of them was realized on 17th May at the most prestigious Beijing Music Hall NCPA (National Centre for Performing Arts) with capacity more than 2000 seats. Conductor Jan Talich opened the concert with a solo performance with the music of J. S. Bach together with Chinese violinist Huang Mengla. A day later, he performed in this hall the sextet consisting of players from TPP and on 19th May the entire Philharmonia performed at the Embassy of the Czech Republic. After the concert Ambassador Libor Sečka held the open air gala reception for the Talich Philharmonia, its management and approximately 250 invited guests. The following day, Sedláček quartet of TPP played stringed instruments at the Embassy, as a part of the promotional event of Strunal company- traditional Czech producer of stringed instruments. In the afternoon, the quartet played on Beijing's city hall. During all concerts sounded compositions of J. B. Vanhala, Luigi Boccherini and W. A. Mozart.
