First Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli visited Prague

First Vice Premier and a Member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC paid a visit to the Czech Republic to have discussion about possible further enhancing bilateral Czech-Chinese Relations and to attend China Investment Forum 2014 and Local Leaders Meeting.
During his stay on August 27th – 29th, 2014 First Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli was received by President of the Czech Republic Mr. Miloš Zeman and had talks with Prime Minister Mr. Bohuslav Sobotka.
Discussion with President Milow Zeman and Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka mainly targeted various options for the development of relations between China and the Czech Republic, with focus on priority areas of cooperation such as technology, trade, investment. They also spoke about partnerships in such areas as healthcare, tourism, manufacturing, science and research, agriculture and environmental protection.
President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman is to visit China in October 2014.
First Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli together with Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka opened two conferences in Prague – Local Leaders Meeting and China Investment Forum 2014. Both conferences were organised in the framework of the Initiative for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe “16+1”.
