Czech Team at Women´s Race 2014

On Sunday, May 4, over 10.000 runners took part at traditional Women´s Race 2014 run through the center of Beirut. By participating, the sportswomen and sportsmen not only supported the women´s rights and presented their skills but they also demonstrated the will to maintain unity of Lebanon in the difficult times the country is going through due to the crises in neighbouring Syria.
As the previous year, the Czech Team, comprised of the diplomats from the Embassy and members of the community of compatriots, participated in the race.
The Beirut Marathon Association who organized the event used the profit to support the fight against cancer.
