Handover ceremony of the Czech humanitarian assistance in Bekaa

On the occasion of the finalization of a humanitarian project funded by the Czech Republic, on 8th of June a public ceremony took place in the town of Bednayel, Bekaa. The project aimed at assisting the Lebanese educational system with the necessity of accommodating children of hundreds of thousands Syrian refugees. The Czech Republic is well aware of the problem and, in line with the approach of the Lebanese Government considers the uninterrupted education provided to the children of the refugees as one of the priorities.
The project, prepared by the Czech Embassy in Beirut and approved by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Karel Schwarzenberg concentrated at the reconstruction / rehabilitation of the Saleem Hayadar Governmental School in Bednayel and included reconstruction of the playground, construction of the leisure time activities house, construction of the scientific labs, reconstruction of the classes, reconstruction of the toilets, purchase of a multifunctional Xerox and new power generator.
