Invitation to the screening of a Czech film at the 20th European Film Festival

At the 20th European Film Festival (20.11.-2.12.2013, Beirut - Cinema Metropolis Empire Sofil, see below the complete program), the Czech cinematography will be represented by an extraordinary film of Jan Sverak* "Kooky´s Return). The Czech film will be screened on Saturday 23 November and Wednesday 27 November, always at 17.30 hrs. The film is destined for both child and adult audience.

*Note: In 1997 Jan Sverak won  the prestigious Oscar (Academy Award  from the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences for the Best Film Spoken in a Foreign Language, Los Angeles, USA) for his film "Kolya".

Kooky´s Return is a combined puppet and live action feature based on a
child's fantasy. A seven year old boy whose teddy bear Kooky has been
thrown away wonders what his toy is up to in the big world out there, imagining 
Kooky as he tries to find his way back home. Movie trailers.

Kooky was very well received  by both general audience and experts and it obtained several awards:
