The generator together with the well and submerisble pump donated by the NGO Baptist Aid creates a joint humanitarian project for securing access to drinking water. |

The musical program was provided by the Czech group TRINY, which blends traditional gypsy melodies with contemporary sound. TRINY was also the main guest at the Evening of Czech and Lebanese music, which was organized in cooperation with the Embassy by the Alumni Association of the Czech and Slovak Universities. |

In celebration of enlargement of the European Union the EU Delegation in Lebanon organized in cooperation with Embassies of the Czech, Polish and Hungarian Republics " Week of European Culture". The Czech Republic was represented by KRLESS, group of musicians performing 13 - 15th century songs from all over Europe. The musicians use exact replicas of medieval instruments built as described and pictured in historical records. During their two concerts KRLESS has captured attention and fancy of the broad audience not only with the professional and lively show, but also with their corresponding marvelous costumes. |
