Launching ceremony of the Quality Program QUALEB

On April 25, 2013, under the High Patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Economy and Trade organised a launching ceremony of the Quality Program QUALEB (Reinforcement of the Lebanese Private Sector Competitiveness; Quality Component: Strengthening of Quality Management, Capabilities and Infrastructure in Lebanon). The program valued at 4,5 million Euro is financed by European Union.
Its aim is to improve legislation and technical regulation of quality management in Lebanon, increasing of food security, streghtenning of the export potential of the Lebanese agricultural production and quality supervising.
The twinning project will be executed by British Standards Institution and Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing. On the Lebanese side the main partner is partner is the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
Ministr of Economy and Trade Nicolas Nahas, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union Angelina Eichhorst and the President of the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing Milan Holecek delivered their speches during the ceremony.
