We would like to share a great news with you - our Institute of Economic Studies took over the ranking of the best Czech economic schools drawn up by Hospodářské noviny - one of the most respected Czech newspapers.

The Faculty of Social Sciences is a part of Charles University, one of the oldest universities in the world. The Faculty offers some of the highest quality Bachelors, Masters and PhD degree programmes in Central and Eastern Europe in all fields of social sciences. Many of our alumni continue their studies at top universities in the United States or the United Kingdom or they succeed in competitions for highly qualified jobs.  

We are currently seeking talented and ambitious candidates for our English language degree programmes. The application deadline for the academic year 2014/2015 is 30^th April 2014.
Also, there is always something interesting going on. We would especially like to point out  the Summer Seminar on Nationalism, Religion and Violence 2014 organized by the Charles University in Prague and International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki with support of LSEE. A key goal of the Summer Seminar, taking place in Prague from 23rd June to 4th July 2014, is to contribute in a substantial way to the study of violence and to catalyze the growth of the study of violence as a field. We welcome all your undergraduate as well as graduate students to join this event!
