Mikuláš (St Nicolas), accompanied by the devil and the angel, brought gifts to children and asked them to sing Christmas carols. The grown-ups used the occasion to meet with the Ambassador, chat with old friends as well as to make acquaintance with the newcomers – Czechs and Slovaks who had arrived in Romania since the last get-together.
