Ambassador Jiří Šitler appreciated Romania’s contribution to the liberation of Czechoslovakia

On the occasion of the Czech Republic’s National Holiday on 8 May, the Ambassador sent letters to His Majesty King Mihai I and to the President of the National Association of War Veterans Army General Marin Dragnea.
In his letters the Ambassador expressed the gratitude of the Czech people for the outstanding contribution of the Romanian Army to the liberation of Czechoslovakia from Nazi Germany’s occupation. He highly appreciated the bravery of the Romanian soldiers who had fought and many of them died in battle on Czechoslovakia’s territory.
