Ambassador pays tribute to fallen heroes

On the occasion of the Heroes' Day on 13 June 2013, Ambassador Jiří Šitler together with Pavel Filípek of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, War Veterans Department, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Bucharest to pay tribute to the fallen heroes.
Earlier, Pavel Filípek visited the town of Medgidia in Dobruja, where in 1916 also Czech volunteers lost their lives within operations of a Serbian division. He also visited the Military Museum of Bucharest and held talks at the National Office for Heroes’ Memory.
