Czech historian Pavel Žáček attends Sighet Summer School

On 18 June 2012 historian Pavel Žáček of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes gave a lecture on the „Lustration system in the Czech Republic“ at the 15th Sighet Summer School.

The lecture was followed by a discussion during which the participants asked questions concerning specific cases of lustration in the Czech Republic. The Summer School at the Memorial of the Victims of Communism and of the Resistance was attended also by specialists from Romania, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Italy and the Republic of Moldova.
