The film was directed by The Maw Naing from Burma (he graduated the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague FAMU, as well as appeared at the International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary and is now moving for work in the USA). Describing the life of a young Burmese monk living in a secluded community of a Buddhist temple in the country, the film reflects the realities of the Burmese dictatorship reminiscent of the Romanian regime before 1989. The screening in Bucharest draw exceptional interest, which was reflected in a cordial discussion of the director with the audience, including the representative of the Czech Embassy.
