Czech-Romanian Business Forum in Bucharest

On 20 – 21 May 2014, members of the accompanying business delegation, headed by President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Hanák, attended a series of events.

On 20 May 2014, a Czech-Romanian Business Forum took place in the National Bank of Romania.  The participants were addressed by Miloš Zeman, President of the Czech Republic, who was on an official visit to Romania, and Mugur Isarescu, Governor of the National Bank of Romania.  The other speakers were State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of Romania B. Pandelica, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic K. Novotný and President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic J. Hanák.

The Business Forum was organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Association of exporters and importers of Romania together with the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic. The event was attended by more than 150 representatives of Czech and Romanian companies  in the sphere of banking, energy, logistics, industry and engineering.  Among the guests were representatives of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, Romanian Ministry of Economy and other important institutions.  A contract between Chemoprojekt and Azomures was signed during the working part of the Forum.  There was also a B2B networking between  all Czech and Romanian companies.

Later that day, a networking event took place within the inauguration of the Czech office building Green Gate, built in Romania by Syner Romania.

On 21 May 2014, CEZ Romania hosted a business breakfast where the Czech delegation was presented with the synthesis of the Romanian market specific in terms of macroeconomic, legal and financing perspectives as presented by experts in Ernst&Young, Tuca Zbarcea & Associates and EBRD - CEZ main partners.  The event included a B2B meeting  with top management representatives from Ernst& Young, EBRD, Tuca Zbarcea & Associates, Deloitte, ADREM Invest, CITI Bank, GE, Fine Consulting, Energobit, Reinvest, NEI Holding, SGS, Target, CEO Management and Rogalski Damaschin PR.
