Minister of the Environment Tomáš Chalupa visited Romania

Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic Tomáš Chalupa accompanied by a delegation visited Romania on 1-2 March 2012.

Accompanied by a delegation he held talks on 2 March 2012 with László Borbély, Minister of the Environment and Forests of Romania. They talked about the climate change, bridge projects, the roadmap to lowcarbon economy. They discussed  the position of both countries before the upcoming Environment Council that will take place on 9 March 2012 in Brussels. Minister Tomáš Chalupa and his Romanian counterpart signed the Declaration of Intent in the field of the environment between the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of the Environment and Forests of Romania. This Declaration is a first step to the future signing of a Memorandum of bilateral cooperation.
