The event, organized by the Czech Centre and HBO Romania, began with a short speech given by the Ambassador. He remembered the events of 1968 and Jan Palach, who set himself on fire in protest against the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia,similar events in Poland and Liviu Babes, who set himself on fire on Bradu slope in Poiana Brasov in protest against communism.
