The President of the Senate of the Romanian Parliament held talks with the President of the Senate Milan Štěch and with the members of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security, Senate Committee on EU Affairs and Senate Committee on National Economy, Agriculture and Transport.  During his visit to the Czech Republic Mircea Geoană met also with the President of the Czech Republic Václav Klaus, Chairperson of the Chamber of Deputies Miroslava Němcová, Prime Minister Petr Nečas, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Karel Schwarzenberg, Minister of Industry and Trade Martin Kocourek and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Josef Dobeš. He gave a lecture at Charles University in Prague on “Economic Governance and Social Development in Europe“. The meetings confirmed the very good quality of mutual relations and a large extent of agreement in international issues.
