Voter ID card issued by the local authority in whose jurisdiction you reside in the Czech Republic

In case of your stay abroad we recommend to obtain a Voter ID card. Voter ID card has a one-off character and is issued by the municipal office in your place of residence in the Czech Republic.

The Voter ID card may be requested by submitting a written application with an authenticated signature of the voter, delivered no later than 7 days before the Election Day to municipal office, or in person no later than 2 days before the Election Day. In any cases the Municipal Authority Voter ID card will be issued no earlier than 15 days before the Election Day. The office transmits the proof personally to the voter or to the person who submit a power of attorney with authenticated signature of the voter requesting a Voter ID card, or send it to the voter's given address.
