Inauguration of a bust of Václav Havel at the seat of the Council of Europe

Tuesday, 2 October 2012, a bust of Václav Havel was inaugurated at the seat of the Council of Europe. The inauguration took place under the auspices of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Library of Václav Havel.

The author of the bust is a Czech sculptor Lubomír Janeček. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs were represented by Tomáš Boček, Czech ambassador to the Council of Europe. The art works on show at the seat of the Council of Europe are traditionally member states' gifts. The bust of Václav Havel is the very first gift from the Czech Republic.
