Explosion in West, TX - Czech Government Approves Aid

The Government of the Czech Republic has approved the donation of 4 million Czech Crowns (approximately USD 200 000) to the town of West, TX. BBLA coordinates the disaster relief assistance with the Consulate of the Czech Republic in New York, the Czech Mission to the UN as well as the Czech Center New York.

The Government of the Czech Republic has approved the donation of 4 million Czech Crowns (approximately USD 200 000) to the town of West, TX, which was severely damaged during the chemical plant explosion. The majority of the town´s population has Czech roots and has been the beacon of Czech and Czechoslovak heritage in Texas for generations.

The Czech-American community in all of the United States has also quickly reacted to the tragedy.

BBLA coordinates the disaster relief assistance with the Consulate of the Czech Republic in New York, the Czech Mission to the United Nations as well as the Czech Center New York. The BBLA' West, Texas Relief Assistance will be further coordinated with the Czech Embassy in Washington, D.C. and other sister organizations.
