Hanukkah Party at the Bohemian National Hall

Members of several local Jewish associations together with members of Czech and Slovak communities as well as the representatives of Czech and Slovak Consulates in New York celebrated together the end of Hanukkah at the Bohemian National Hall
on Saturday December 15, 2012. The ceremonial lighting of the last Menorah candle was followed by unique performance of variations on Jewish songs by accomplished Czech singer/violinist Iva Bittova who was accompanied by pianist Peter Breiner. About a hundred guests enjoyed the chance to meet with their friends and to celebrate together the Festival of Lights, one of the important holidays of the Jewish calendar.
