Prime Minister of the Czech Republic visits Bohemian National Hall

Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Mr. Jiri Rusnok, visited the Bohemian Nationall Hall together with foreign minister Jan Kohout and defence minister Vlastimil Picek on Saturday September 28th, 2013, to celebrate with representatives of Czech-American Community and important partners and guests the 5th anniversary of re-opening of BNH.
Cocktail reception with Czech Government Delegation and local community was complemented by the premiere of short animated presentation of visual documents describing the reconstruction of BNH and the top events organized there since its re-opening in 2008, the official unveiling of the Czech Republic Flag found amongst the rubble of the WTC NY in the aftermath of 9/11/2001, and viewing of the exhibition “Multiplication of Horizons“ by famous Czech artist Magdalena Jetelova.
This event was part of the series of celebratory events organized jointly by the institutions which presently share the building, namely the Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association, Consulate General of Czech Republic and the Czech Center New York.
