A Special Pan Slavic Recital - Opera Slavica - With Love From ...

The concert of famous and lesser-known songs Czech, Slovak, Ukrainian, Polish, Serbian, and Russian composers took a place in the Bohemian National Hall on Friday June 28, 2013.

Spearheaded by Artistic Director William Hobbs, OPERA SLAVICA is a professional opera company and a young artist summer training program dedicated to Czech and Russian repertoire.

OPERA SLAVICA, in partnership with the Bohemian National Hall, will present Tchaikovsky's last opera, IOLANTA, and the American Russian-language premiere of Prokofiev's first opera, MADDALENA, this season.

Hailed as a "wrenching performance," OPERA SLAVICA has just finished its third season with a run of Janacek's JENUFA. Past seasons have included EUGENE ONEGIN and RUSALKA, as well as gala concerts at Merkin Hall and Broadway Presbyterian Church.

OPERA SLAVICA makes its home at the Bohemian National Hall in New York, with the generous cooperation of the Czech Center of New York.
