Location and history of the building
The hotel Metamorphis is located at one of the most significant places of Prague, from the historical point of view, which is listed on the UNESCO protected cultural heritage list. First mentions about this locality appeared already in the 9th century. Originally, three houses were built here, but after the big fire in 1689 they have been reconstructed under participation of Mr. P.I.Bayer. The hotel Metamorphis has risen in one of the three houses called The Blue House. The building itself contains the original eastern gate of the Ungelt. On the ceilings of the underground - nowadays restaurant - the original parget from 1689 has been preserved as well, which now is protected as a historical monument. Last reconstruction of the building was done in year 2000.

Hotel Facilities
The hotel Metamorphis has 2 restaurants. In the Club Restaurant Metamorphis guests can choose from a wide choice of both typical Czech meals and international cuisine, served with a wide choice of quality domestic and foreign production. The culinary experience can be intensified by the historical atmosphere in the stylish cellar spaces, accompanied by life piano music every night. The spaces of the restaurant are suitable for family or business events. The Cafe Restaurant is a small cosy cafe with a choice of salads, pasta meals, steaks and desserts. It is a great place to meet friends or hold business meetings. There is an outdoor seating avaiable on a summer terrace with a view of the majestical towers of the Tyn church.

Hotel offers an air-conditioned meeting room with modern equipment, with capacity up to 30 persons. This meeting room is one of the possibilities where to hold an event, press conference, presentations or courses. The spaces of the historical cellar at the Club Restaurant Metamorphis can be used to hold an event too.

Hotel guests can use a hotel parking in the hotel courtyard, laundry service and internet corner.

Hotel Metamorphis offers 32 rooms that have been sensitively built into former historical spaces of the building. Guests can choose from appartments, spacious suites, double rooms with marriage beds or with separate beds, a comfortable attic room with baroque wooden beams or with hand-painted ceilings. Hotel rooms have been tastefully equipped by replicas of the historical furniture, minibar, safety locks, safety deposit box, TV with satellite channels and air-condition. Business clients will certainly appreciate office desks with IDD-telephone line and highspeed WIFI or LAN internet access. Spacious bathrooms are equipped with bathtub and/or shower, hair-dryer, most of them even with bidets.
