The audience in Denmark has the opportunity to see Janaček´s sixth opera Katja Kabanova for the first time. This production is also the debut performance as a director for Annilese Miskimmon, the new head of the Danish National Opera. The performance is conducted by the conductor of the National Theatre in Prague Jaroslav Kyzlink. Pavla Vykopalova, soloist of the National Theatre in Brno is starring in the leading role.

The Danish National Opera will show the performance in October and November not only at its home scene in Aarhus but also in Copenhagen, Odense,Vejle, Aalborg and at other places around Denmark.
