“The Nutcracker” Ballet Performance accompanied by a Czech orchestra in Tivoli

We cordially invite you to the ballet performance The Nutcracker by the director and choreographer P. B. Bendixen, with music by the composer P. I. Tchaikovsky recorded by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The scene and the costumes were designed by H.M. Queen Margrethe II. The ballet fairy-tale for the whole family about the magic of Christmas Eve can be seen from 20 November to 28 December 2014 in the Concert Hall in Tivoli.
The opening performance on 20 November 2014 will be held in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II. and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Denmark Jiří Brodský.
The fairy-tale ballet The Nutcracker is based on the story by E. T. A. Hoffmann. Its choreographic and dramaturgical approach have gone through many changes since the premiere in 1892. Yet the performance till now inseparably belongs to Christmas time and it´s still very popular among both child and adult audiences.
