On March 20, 2007, after two months, the Embassy of the Czech Republic continued in presenting new Czech movies in the frame of its popular Evenings of the Silver Screen Friends. This time, we offered the film Holiday Makers by the Director Jiří Vejdělek, based on the novel by Michal Viewegh, one of the most popular Czech writers. Both, Vejdělek and Viewegh are also authors of the script.

In the leading parts of the movie Holiday Makers: well-known and experienced Czech actors and actresses: Jana Štěpánková, Eva Holubová, Květa Fialová, Anna Polívková, Pavel Liška, Bohumil Klepl, and others.

This first movie by Jiří Vejdělek had a nice acceptance by our viewers. There were as usual Czech students and their Danish friends, Czech compatriots with members of their families, we were pleased and honoured to welcome as well Slovak, Hungarian and Lithuanian diplomats.
