The Ambassador remembered the public in Swedish what happened in the 1980s not only in Czechoslovakia but also in other neighbouring countries of the Soviet block. Later on he focused on his personal experience from the Velvet Revolution. He read short parts from his own notes from 18 November 1989, from Peter Sís’ book THE WALL: Growing Up Behind the Iron Curtain and from other relevant texts (Several Sentences, Václav Havel’s works etc.). After the lecture, part of the documentary The Tender Revolution was screened.
