Screening of the Czech movie “A Country Teacher” at the Embassy

A traditional Czech film evening took place on 9 March 2010 at the Embassy, when the Czech movie A Country Teacher (2008) by Bohdan Sláma was shown.
The film subtitled Everybody needs somebody is a story of love, friendship, guilt and forgiveness. The movie received the Czech Lion award in two categories (Best Script and Best Actress in Leading Role) in 2009 and several awards at Stockholm International Film Festival and Cottbus Festival of East European Cinema (2008).
Approximately 45 guests – including Czech expatriots with their families and friends and other interested guests – attended the screening.
