On 21 March 2011 the investment promotion agency CzechInvest launched its regional representation in Copenhagen. The agency’s office, situated at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Copenhagen, will be under leadership of Štěpán Procházka, who will coordinate CzechInvest activities in Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
On the occasion of the first working visit of CzechInvest representative Štěpán Procházka in Denmark, the Czech Embassy arranged an opening of the exhibition “Czech Inventions“ at the conference rooms of the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, an agency under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The Czech Ambassador Zdeněk Lyčka commemorated the good relations between the Czech Republic and Denmark (e.g. the Conference”Building the Bridge between Research and Business – Czech and Danish Experience” in Prague in November 2009; the working trip of the Czech Minister of Education Miroslava Kopicová to Denmark and her participation in “Czech Technology Days“ in Lund, Sweden in June 2010). Hereafter, the Director General of the Division of Economic Cooperation & Promotion Abroad of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Marek Skolil, greeted the present guests and the CzechInvest representative Štěpán Procházka said a few words about CzechInvest’s activities. The exhibition was officially opened by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Denmark, Uffe Toudal Pedersen. All speakers agreed that the present good relations have to be developed further and common interests have to be shared in order to find high-quality solutions within the field of research and innovation.
