The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Copenhagen in cooperation with Husets Biograf arranged, on the day of Miloš Forman’s birthday, 18 February 2012, the screening of the director’s American debut film Taking Off. The audience mainly consisting of diplomats and people from the Czech community in Denmark, filled up the cinema’s 60 seats. Ambassador Zdeněk Lyčka introduced the movie and recapitulated the most important moments in the director’s life and mentioned a few personal reflections related to Miloš Forman’s work. After the screening the guests were invited to taste Czech beer.
