The Embassy of the Czech Republic commemorated the Day of International Criminal Justice

On July 17 the Embassy of the Czech Republic in The Hague, in coordination with the Embassies of Slovakia, Poland and Hungary commemorated the Day of International Criminal Justice by raising the flag of the International Criminal Court (ICC)

In 2010, in the frame of the Revision Conference to the Rome Statute held in Kampala (Uganda), the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute decided to promote the 17th July (anniversary of the signature of the Rome Statute, establishing the International Criminal Court (ICC) as the Day of International Criminal Justice. The main commemorative events in The Hague were held a week before, on July 10th. Nonetheless, the Ambassadors of the Visegrad Group states (Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland) have decided to commemorate this Day by coordinated raising of the ICC flag. Picture of the ICC flag raised on the Embassy buildings were sent to the ICC Registry and made public on websites.
