Legalization provided by the Embassy of the Czech Republic

Types of authentications

1) Authenticity of signatures

If you require legalisation of your signature, you have to come in person during office hours of the consular section of the Embassy (Monday 12 – 3 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 9 – 11:30 a.m.), show your valid passport/I.D. document (not a driving license), submit printed document and sign the document in front of the legalisation officer.

Fees can be paid in cash in EUR or by payment card, the current fee can be found on our website in the chapter Consular Fees.

Please note that legalisation of more than 3 signatures cannot be done during office hours of the consular section. It is necessary to make an appointment for legalisation of more than 3 signatures at: hague.consulate@mzv.gov.cz

 

2) Certification of  copies

The original document must be submitted in the same time with its copy.

Our legalisation department does not legalise photocopies of passports, driving licences etc.

 

3) Apostille

The Apostille authorities of the Czech Republic (issuing an apostille on the Czech Public Documents) are:

a) Ministry of Foreign Affairs (not for court or notary documents)
