Development Cooperation
Current Development Cooperation Projects in Vietnam
In view of the country's acute need for development aid and its strong traditional ties with the Czech Republic, Vietnam was defined a priority country for development cooperation. At present, the Czech Republic's priority areas in Vietnam include environmental protection, agriculture, social development, economic and industrial development as well as education. A key task is to eliminate the consequences of the use of industrial toxins (dioxins). In addition, scholarships are granted to Vietnamese students attending Czech universities.
The cooperation focuses on one of the country's most needy regions, the Central Vietnamese Thua Thien Hue province.
