In the introduction of the workshop, for which over 50 local and international representatives were involved including USAID and UNDP, Mr. Nguyen The Dong, the Deputy Chief of the Secretariat, Office 33, reviewed the acquisition of this project for Vietnam and its population. H.E. M. Klepetko in his speech informed about the Czech ODA projects that have been made reality in the last decade in Vietnam, in where all of these 49 projects have a sum of 355 mil. CZK/ about 17 mil. USD. In other parts expert lectures of the representatives from the Office 33 and Czech implementing companies (Dekonta, ALS, DWW) followed. After the presentation, a broad discussion was in place towards this project, which was very positively evaluated. It is however compulsory to continue the project, especially the use of monitoring stations and monitoring plans provided by Czech experts. The members of this discussion appointed to Office 33, so that they could perform an analysis of the information gathered and to make a safety instruction for the population living in the affected areas.
