Making the appointment:

Consular and legalization services - for all consular (passport, birth/marriage registration, etc.) and legalization services it is necessary to request an appointment via hanoi.consulate@mzv.gov.cz.

Short-term (Schengen) visa applications - the receipt of Schengen visa applications is being outsourced to the VFS Global visa center in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. The appointments can be made via the visa center website. The Embassy accepts directly Schengen visa applications from family members of EU citizens, holders of official passports and members of official delegations.  Appointments  for a submission at the embassy need to be made via hanoi.consulate@mzv.gov.cz.

Long-term/permanent residence applications – the appoinment for a submission of an application is done via registration and a subsequent electronic draw. Details are available in the Czech and Vietnamese versions of this website. For details in English kindly send an email to hanoi.consulate@mzv.gov.cz.

Long-term visa applications -  registration occurs once per month via email address hanoi.visa@mzv.gov.cz, administered by the Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Details are available in the Czech and Vietnamese versions of this website. For details in English kindly send an email to hanoi.consulate@mzv.gov.cz.

Please note that in accordance with Article 25a of the Visa Code (cooperation in the field of readmission of persons) and based on the report of the European Commission, the member states of the Schengen area have decided to adopt a temporary visa measure against a third country - Gambia. Gambian citizens pay an increased visa fee of €120. For more information visit the following  website.

Consular days in Ho Chi Minh City
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi organizes consular days in Ho Chi Minh City 1-2 times/year. For appointments contact hanoi.consulate@mzv.gov.cz stating in which consular service you are interested. 


WORKING LANGUAGES
In accordance with § 169 of the Act no. 326/1999 Sb., about the stay of foreigners in the territory of the Czech Republic, the working languages of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi are Czech and English.

In 2024, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi will be closed to the public on the following Czech or Vietnamese holidays: January 1, February 8-9, February 12-14, March 29, April 1, April 18, April 30, May 1, May 8,  July 5, September 2-3, October 28, December 24-26.
