(This article expired 31.12.2012.)
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Harare invites NGOs, communities and legal entities based in Zimbabwe and selected Zambian provinces (see below) to apply for grants under the Local Small Scale Project scheme 2013.
The Czech Republic through its Embassy in Harare has been supporting various activities aiming at uplifting the lives of the poor and marginalized in various fields, including education, health, culture and livelihoods (see examples of projects implemented in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique in 2011 and 2012).
Similarly to previous years, so called Local Small Projects will continue in 2013. NGOs, communities and legal entities experienced in development projects based in Zimbabwe (all provinces) and Zambia (Western, Southern and Lusaka provinces exclusively) are hereby invited to present short project proposals.
The brief project proposals must not exceed one A4 page and should include the following information: organisation's name, contact information, short description of the development problem to be addressed, a short proposal of strategy to tackle the problem, short budget and a list of references from previous similar projects mentioning the donors/sponsors.
Zimbabwe: one project with the budget not exceeding 150,000 CZK (approximately 7,500 USD) will be supported.
Zambia: two projects with the budget not exceeding 250,000 CZK (approximately 12,500 USD) each will be supported.
The proposals should be sent to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
The deadline for submission of the proposals is the 20th of November 2012. Prequalified entities will then be requested to supply full documentation.
Proposals submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Please note that the submission of the proposal is not a guarantee of the actual financial support.
