MFA's Director for Development Cooperation Visits Zambia

The Director of the Department of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic conducted a working visit of Zambia.

The highest-level official visit to Zambia by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic since the Czech Foreign Minister’s visit in 2010, took place from the 12th of November 2013 up to the 14th of November 2013. The delegation was led by the Director of the Department of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Mrs. Zuzana Hlavičková. Chargé d’Affaires e.p. of the Czech Republic, Mr Petr Starý was also member of the delegation.

The visit not only focused on official meetings at relevant Zambian ministries but also on projects implemented within the framework of the Czech-Zambian development cooperation.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Zambia, Mrs. Zuzana Hlavičková had a meeting with the Political Director. She further held meetings at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock where she was received by Hon. Luxon Kazabu, the Deputy Minister, and Hon. David Shamulenge, the Permanent Secretary.

The Director of the Department of  Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance also visited the recently commissioned Artificial Cattle Insemination Service Centre in Mazabuka, a new computer laboratory set up this year near Monze and a youth centre opened in Chibolya township of Lusaka. All these projects have been financed by the Czech Republic.
